After You

Meet Hannah & Angela. Angela is Hannah’s mum. When she was 14, she played Brigitta in the original Australian production of ‘The Sound of Music’. Stopped from pursuing this path, she was sent to Finishing School and carried on to a full life of work & motherhood. Now Angela has retired, Hannah is bringing her back to the stage – where she belongs.

‘After You’ is built from conversations this mother and daughter may never have had. By trying to make good art and become better actors, what will they find about the women they are beyond the bond that they share?

Hannah Norris is the winner of Adelaide Fringe Best Theatre Weekly Awards 2013 & 2015, Best Theatre Performance 2009 & Underbelly Edinburgh Award 2015.

Adelaide’s multi-award-winning Festival Statesmen Chorus return to the musical theatre realm with their latest original jukebox musical ‘Choir Boys’. Following the (mostly) fictional story of the ‘Klemzig Choirboys’ and their attempts to embrace the ‘touring lifestyle’. However things predictably go wrong and the results are hilarious. With music spanning Biebl to R-Kelly, tales told by a variety of classic choir characters, the delicious sound of their rich harmonies and slick ‘choral-ography’ to match, this new production will have you both in stitches and your toes tapping in equal measure.

Monsieur Bunbury: A Tale of Two Men in Earnest

Experience the wit of Oscar Wilde’s wordplay in a menagerie of French and English — extending his whimsical farce of quips and puns across two languages simultaneously.

The comedy of Wilde’s social commentary on the Victorian aristocracy and its trivialities will unfold in a bilingual spectacle, adding even more layers to each double entendre.

“Wow, that was amazing!” — Several people with no personal connection to cast members or the French language.

Vincent van Hessen The Traveling Troubadour aka VVHTTT

Vince’s Troubadour lifestyle began when he arrived to NYC in summer 2008 to explore new musical chances in the Big Apple, after many failed attempts in his native Netherlands.
To make ends meet he picked up a job in a cafe, but by September 2008 was laid off. Shortly afterwards and somewhat reluctantly, Vince became a street performer in the NYC subway system, and suddenly; a whole new world unfolded to the naive little wanna be musician from the Netherlands.
The Funk, the Blues, the Latin, the Jazz and of course the Pop.
Performed by Vincent in his very unique and unequivocal manner of rendering covers. His X-factor, vocals and guitar chops are evident to all SO:
To paraphrase the words of John Lennon:
“Got to be good looking, cause he’s so hard to see.”
And seeing is believing..
